This page explains what this website collects, why, where it goes, and how to change your mind. The site is run by Todd Rudak ("we"), the company building Torque Lift. Questions go to contact@torquelift.ai.

The short version

This site is tracked by Torque Lift itself

Torque Lift is a product that adds privacy-safe event tracking to a company's app and measures what changes. This website is Torque Lift's first customer. Its tracking was written by Torque Lift's own software, its visit data goes through the same pipeline a customer's would, and changes to this page may be tested as experiments. The same rules apply as for our customers: we collect no names, emails or free text in analytics, and a person reviews every change before it goes live.

What we collect

1. Usage analytics, only if you click Accept

WhatExampleNot collected
A random ID for your browser, kept in your browser's storage3f9c…Your name or email
The page you're on, as its path/, /privacyFull URLs, query strings or anything you type
Sections you scrolled to, buttons you clicked, and whether you started the waitlist form“CTA clicked: hero”What you type in the form
Whether this is a return visit
The site that linked you here (domain only) and campaign tags in the linklinkedin.com, utm_source=summitThe full referring URL
Coarse device details: browser and OS version, language, time zone“Chrome 130, macOS, en-US”Precise location

Our collector receives your IP address when your browser sends an event, because the internet works that way. Our tracking tells the collector to remove it, and it is never stored with your analytics events. Before that filter runs, the incoming message (with your IP address and request headers) sits in our event queue for up to 48 hours. Our server logs are deleted after 7 days, and our web server shortens IP addresses before logging them (the last two parts of an IPv4 address are dropped).

If you accept and an experiment is running, you may see one of two versions of part of the page. If you don't accept, the experiment code doesn't run and you see the standard version.

2. The waitlist, only if you fill in the form

Your email address and, optionally, your company name, with the page of this site you signed up from (and "summit" if you came from our event QR code). They are stored in a private database and sent to our team by email so we can reply. If you accepted analytics, joining also records one analytics event, "joined the waitlist". It carries only your browser's random ID, never your email. If you declined, no event is recorded.

3. Basic server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
